Sustainable Fibre

This theme addresses fabric-making traditions, traditional ecological knowledge, and regenerative food-and-fibre systems, while also considering scalability of sustainable models of production. Can we establish integrated land systems that simultaneously address food, clothing and shelter? What can we learn about sustainable fibre possibilities with Indigenous ecological practices and other traditional ways of knowing? How can the cluster research reciprocate to support and partner with local Indigenous sustainable textile initiatives?
